Services This is the most comprehensive type of survey, and is strongly advised when purchasing a used vessel. Condition and value of the vessel will be determined, as well as the overall operation of the vessel. This includes such items as structural integrity, out of water inspection, seatrial evaluation, electrical systems, propulsion system, fuel system, machinery and navigation equipment, miscellaneous on board systems, cosmetic appearance, and overall maintenance. If there are any questions regarding the engines performance, an accredited marine engine surveyor would be recommended.
This survey is performed so that the insurance company can determine the amount of acceptable risk involved with the vessel. This is also a "condition and value" survey, and some insurance companies require a haul-out inspection, especially on older vessels.
This survey is performed to gather enough information to determine the fair market value of the vessel. This is normally needed for financing, estate settlements, donations, and various legal cases.
This is performed to assess the cause, nature, and extent of damage to a vessel. This can be performed for an insurance company, or vessel owner.
If special services such as engine surveys, infra-red thermography, ultra-sonic testing, metal gauging, or various types of destructive testing are required, we can contract specialists in these fields to meet your requirements. Consulting services for new construction, upgrade modifications, or various other projects can be contracted on an individual basis. |
